South of the Border

This is a role-playing game of propaganda and betrayal. But also release. It is a game where you as a group discover the experience of deciding to leave everything you know behind in the name of desperate survival.

You must decide what you are ready to sacrifice and how far you are willing to go.

To play, you will need six-sided dice, pencils, and one escapee sheet per player.

There is no game master or facilitator in South of the Border. You play the game as a group.

This is a work of fictional interpretation, built around the harrowing experiences of real-world defectors from North Korea. It may or may not reflect the reality of the 25+ million people currently oppressed by the regime of North Korea. But hopefully, it can make you think.
